אחרי הפרק הקודם, עתה אביא היום את שאר טיולי במיאנמר למנדליי, באגאן וינגון.

מנדליי הבירה הצפונית, סדנאות הפיסול של בודהות, גשר עץ התיק העתיק והארוך בעולם.

באגאן, הידועה בשל אלפי המקדשים במקום ושווה זיגון. סיור של יום עם כרכרה וסוס.

ינגון, הבירה של המדינה ומקדש שווהדגון, הסטופה הגדולה בעולם על ציפוי הזהב שלה. התפילה כאן התגלתה לשימחתי הרבה, פרט להדלקת נרות וקטורת הרגילים בכל סטופה, גם ככרוכה בבניסוך פסלי בודהות רבים (כן גם ניסכתי את פדחתי מפאת החום). אה, ובל נשכח את הצלצול בפעמונים הרבים. התמונות רחוקות מלתאר את התחושה של היפעה והעוצמה בממדים.

My trip to Ethiopia, Myanmar, Cambodia & Thailand

Hi,

How are you all?

Hope that you are all OK.

I just returned a few days ago from my trip to Ethiopia, Myanmar, Cambodia & Thailand, which took some 6 weeks.

Ethiopia –   This was my first encounter with Africa, with all the extreme poverty and harsh living terms which portrays mainly the agriculture of many centuries ago – in short what to the avid photographer seems so photogenic…I’ll be brief, the pictures tell the story.

Myanmar – Better known by its former name – Burma.

It is a huge country, that hasn’t changed much and far less travelled that her nheibours like Thailand, and an inviting place to all the t6ourists who does not search for the nearest branch of Macdonalds/Starbucks. Simply there are none. The Americans boycotts Myanmar. I also had my own doubts, but now I h tell you – This boycott is silly and totally misses its point.

Go visit Myanmar, for the scenes and more for the people – kind, nice and inviting. It is really going in National Geographic land.
